June 29, 2010 on the water report, 815am

Battling huge kings as we speak. 5 in the box already, lost 3 others, currently fighting a near 20lb king on a Blood Run Wire Diver – Spin Doctor combo for the past 40 minutes…game on!

Michigan Fishing Report June 27, 2010

There are some nice kings moving in off Holland and Saugatuck right now….water is very warm and and fish can be caught from 70 out to 170. Blood Run Super Coppers in 300, 350, 400 and 450 foot segments with DW Spin Doctors, Action Flies and Howie Flies are best. Blood Run Wire Divers starting to slide into position as the summer diver bite begins to intensify.

Michigan Fishing Report June 23, 2010

Extreme fishing today…shot out at 6am ahead of a storm to catch the morning bite, action was fast and furious until the front moved in at 730 which chased us back into port. Quick blow over and back out again to find the fish had vanished from earlier. Went on a hunting expedition, found them not too far from earlier in the morning and boxed 11 salmon and trout for the day. EXTREMELY tough fishing right now, but still finding a way to get it done. Blood Run Wire Divers taking center stage, with mixed action on super coppers and riggers. Good water still near Holland and Saugatuck, storms have temporarily scattered the fish….Looking forward to good action this weekend!

Michigan Fishing Report June 20, 2010

Consistent fishing continues out of Holland Michigan for Profishient Charters. Average catches this past weekend were 10 fish with nice kings in the low teens being taken, along with 10lb steelhead and a few coho. A nice pod of bait has settled in near Holland and the fish are starting to figure out where it is! A little bit of everything was working this past weekend including Blood Run Wire Divers, Blood Run Super Coppers as well as downriggers. We are now getting a more consistent flasher/fly bite with Dreamweaver Spin Doctors in White or Green with Action Fly’s doing most of the damage. Bigger waves of fish expected to move in on the bait in the coming week..

Saginaw Bay Michigan has now asserted itself as the Walleye Capital of the World, surpassing Lake Erie as the the number one destination for targeting limits of walleye.    The ports of Linwood and Au Gres Michigan provide the hottest action during the months of June and July for limits of eater sized walleye.

Saginaw Bay has the unique characteristics of a relatively shallow basin full of bait, but in close proximity to the cold deep waters of Lake Huron.   The combination provides  the most fertile walleye grounds in the world!

Our Saginaw Bay walleye charters book well in advance due to the relatively short peak season during the months of June and July.  We recommend trying to schedule a year in advance to ensure you have your chance to enjoy the world class walleye fishery of Saginaw Bay Michigan.
